✦DEMIHUMANS✦
A world of animal traits, heightened senses, and seasonal instincts.
☾ DEMIHUMANS
Demihumans in this world are humans born with animal traits and seasonal animalistic tendencies. Their instincts vary, but are always based on their animal mix.
Demihumans make up the overwhelming majority of society. They study, work, and live ordinary lives, while encountering a human is rare.
Their height differs depending on their species and breed, both in comparison to humans and to other demihumans.
✦ A demihuman's senses are far stronger than a human's.
Male demihumans experience ruts for several days each month. The cycle depends mostly on the demihuman's breed.
Effect: Their scent changes during the rut.
Prevention: Blockers can prevent ruts.
Meat is illegal to consume and is replaced by synthetic, plant-based meat produced in laboratories.
Other proteins needed by carnivorous demihumans are provided through artificial foods and foods produced by demihumans, such as eggs and milk.
Heat and rut blockers are medications that can prevent a rut or heat from happening.
They are similar to birth control for both male and female demihumans, but their main purpose is to keep them from entering heat or rut.
